Bin Column Blender

The Bin Column Blender comprises a freestanding pillared structure and a rotating cage for mounting the bin, clamped securely to the pillar. After charging and clamping the bin, the rotating arm begins to rotate at a predetermined speed and duration (optimum speed and blend duration) according to the preset technological parameters.

As the symmetrical axes of hopper and the rotating center line of rotating arm form an included angle, materials with different constituents are effectively rolling over in the closed bin and producing high shear to achieve the best effect of blending/mixing.

One of the inherent advantages of using an Bin Blenders is that it permits the homogeneous blending of multiple ingredients without the need to transfer the material to and from another machine. This eliminates any segregation and cross contamination issues. The Cage Bin Blenders permits the easy loading of the bins. The bins can be lifted and positioned above a process for discharging the material.

Working Principle

The concept of a cage blender is very simple: a single container for blending, storage and feeding The cage bin blender has been created taking into account the three blending variables: – The geometry ofthe container – The filling or loading leve/ ofthe equipment – The rotation speed Inside the container, an intensive mixing principle is developed due to the cutting effect caused by its square shape. This geometry, added to high speeds, ensures a great homogeneity among raw material with cohesive nature. This mixing principle also allows the bowl a storage and feeding container.

Applications

Cage Bin blenders or Conta Bin Blenders are used mainly for blending of dry powders for tablet production and capsule, which facilitates better flow for tablets and capsules.
